36 Weeks Brings Big Life Changes

Well Hello Friends,

Its been a week or so since I have posted but I promise there is a good reason. Our lives this past week have had some major change and I can now officially tell everyone about it.

We have packed up our lives and moved almost 1000 miles, back home to Wichita, KS! This has been a possibility for a while now, but without counting our chickens before they hatched we really couldn't say anything to anyone about it until it was official.
Curious of how the whole thing went down? I would be :) So here's our story:

Back in probably November we called some family friends back in Kansas to tell them that we were going to have a baby boy. They happened to mention that there was a church in our home town that was in search of a new youth minister. (If you don't know, Hubby IS a youth minister) We talked about how great it would be to live in our home town where both of our families live, but we were so happy at our church in Georgia and didn't feel ready to move.
After about a month of prayers and thoughts and conversations we decided that God would not have put this in our path without reason. So we decided to put Hubby's resume together and send it in. This happened to be right before Thanksgiving.

And then we waited...and waited...and waited. Thanksgiving passed, Christmas passed and we got almost through January before we heard anything. Finally, what seemed out of the blue we got a call that they wanted Hubby to come down and meet the teens and teach class and basically interview him. He of course accepted and we flew down the next week to meet the church.
Everything went great and we were feeling pretty confident, but we were leaving everything in God's hands. Two days after we got home we received a call that he was a finalist and they wanted us to come back in a few weeks for another interview. This time we got to meet the entire church and they hosted a potluck, which quickly turned into an all-church Q&A session. A little intimidating but Hubby handled it well.
The next day we were offered the job, but they said to not give an answer until we had gone back home and discussed it and decided what God wanted for our family.

The next couple of days while we were discussing our decision, were some of the hardest days we have had in our marriage. On one side we had an awesome church family who had taken a young guy and helped mold him into what I think is an amazing minister, and we were completely happy there. But on the other side we had the opportunity to start at a new church in our home town, where our families could see our baby boy grow up, and be a part of our everyday life.

After much deliberation, we decided that, as hard as it was to leave our home in Georgia, God was opening doors so wide we couldn't say "No" to Him. So long story short, we accepted the job in Kansas and are following God's journey for us.

Oh and for the fun part of this whole story...remember when I said I was 36 weeks pregnant??

Well, we packed up our house and moved to Kansas this week and Hubby officially starts work tomorrow!!!! My parents came down last weekend, and that same weekend we said our goodbyes to our church family. We (I say "we" but really I sat on the couch while my parents, Hubby and my grandparents packed the entire house and loaded the U-haul) packed up the house, loaded the U-haul, loaded my car on a tow dolly and headed out of Georgia. Two days later we pulled into my parents house (AKA our new home for the next few months).
So, after all this change we have been in the process of unpacking and rearranging my mother's house to fit Hubby, the baby who will make his appearance in a few weeks and myself. We were all very worried that Little Man would decided to come while we were in the middle of Mississippi or something, but he obeyed his Mamma and stayed in. :)

So as you can see we have had a ton of change lately, and we are very excited to see what else God has in store for us.

Our last picture at our house before pulling out.
