Throw Back Thursday-DC Cupcakes

Its another Throw Back Thursday! This week I decided to talk about our trip to DC in 2011. My sister was living in Washington DC for an internship and so we took a weekend trip to see her. This was Hubby's first time in DC and we hit all of the top spots and had an awesome time.

One place we hit was Georgetown Cupcakes, this is the cupcake store that is featured on TLC's DC Cupcakes. These are TO DIE FOR!!!

We had to wait in a REALLLY long line. It wrapped around the block, and since it was in July in DC, it was really hot as well. Luckily they passed out water to the waiting crowds.

While we were waiting we got to look at the full cupcake menu. This is a list of all the different flavors they make. Although there are only a dozen or so offered each day.

We each ordered a different flavor and they tried each others. We got red velvet, black and white, carrot, and the over all favorite, peanut-butter fudge. It has gooey fudge on the inside when you bite into it. SOOOO good. The icing is soft and the cake isn't too dry. They are just perfect. The prices are reasonable and you can even order them to be delivered across the country. Only problem...the shipping. $20 on top of the price of the cupcakes. One of these days I might just break down and order some :)

Here's me enjoying our wonderful cupcakes.
